Dit z\u00e9\u00e9r bijzondere en origineel geschreven boek in het fantasy genre met elementen van Harry Potter moet je gewoon lezen…<\/p>\n

Plot:<\/h3>\n

Patrick Rothfuss beschrijft in zijn debuutroman een zeer boeiend en meeslepend verhaal. De naam van de wind is het verhaal van Kote, een herbergier in klein dorpje. Hij redt een reiziger, die in de buurt wordt aangevallen door spinachtige monsters. De reiziger blijkt een kroniekschrijver te zijn die als dank voor zijn redding graag het levensverhaal van de herbergier wil optekenen. Kote vertelt hem dat dit 3 dagen zal duren. Vervolgens begint Kote zijn levensverhaal te vertellen, waardoor het verhaal ineens verandert van een vertelling in de derde persoon naar een vertelling vanuit het perspectief van de hoofdpersoon. Het relaas van Kote verhaalt over de jonge Kvothe (Kote), die van rondtrekkende zigeuner, eerst bedelaar en dan student aan de universiteit van de arcanisten wordt. Tussendoor worden Kote en de kroniekschrijver in de herberg steeds in hun werk gestoord. Er komen klanten binnen of er moet gegeten en gedronken worden.
\nHet boek stopt aan het einde van de eerste dag en ik weet zeker, dat je dan direct door wilt naar boek twee in deze serie “de kronieken van Kvothe”<\/p>\n

Conclusie:<\/h3>\n

Dit is een z\u00e9\u00e9r bijzonder en origineel geschreven boek in het fantasy genre. Het is een verhaal in een verhaal. Bovendien wisselt het perspectief van de verteller steeds en ervaar je een aangename afwisseling tussen langzaam, gedetailleerd beschrijven en vlotte, energieke plotwendingen. Alsof je met je bootje een rivier afzakt met kalme brede stromen en spetterende stroomversnellingen. Het heeft elementen van Harry Potter in zich maar is toch z\u00f3 anders dat ik het zeer verfrissend vond.<\/p>\n
